Puttur: Pavitra.G, a first year MBA student of Vivekananda College of Engineering and Technology, Puttur, has won a gold medal in the triple jump at the state level Dasara athletic meet, setting a new meet record.
She represented Mysore Division in this competition held at Chamundi Vihara Stadium in Mysore and set a record by jumping 12.69 meters. She broke the old record of 12.38 meters set 10 years ago in 2013 and stamped her name.
In the men’s javelin throw event of the same event, Keerthiraj KS, a student of the second year civil engineering department of the college, won the bronze medal.
