The accused had extorted money from the 16-year-old girl by threatening to release the video of the act. A minor girl in Rajasthan’s Alwar district was gang-raped by eight youths in their 20s and blackmailed her for Rs 50,000.
According to the police, the accused obtained private pictures of a 16-year-old girl from Kishangarh Bus Police Station in the district and blackmailed her saying that they would make the pictures public if they did not pay Rs 50,000.
Later she was gang-raped by eight people including the main accused in the case. After the incident, the minor girl’s brother filed a complaint on Wednesday.
On December 31, 2021, the prime accused, identified as Sahil, called his sister to a nearby place and told her that he had obtained some private pictures of the minor girl and if she did not come, he would make them public.
When the 8th class student reached the spot, eight men forcibly undressed her, sexually harassed her and made a video of the act. The accused started extorting money from the victim and threatened and raped her many times.
Between April and June this year, the accused extorted Rs 50,000 from the minor. But when the girl failed to pay more money, the accused circulated the video on local social media groups.
“An FIR has been registered under Section 376D of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act. On the face of it, the allegations appear to be true,” Kishangarh Boss Circle Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Atul Agra said.
He said that teams have been formed to find the absconding accused. More details will be revealed after arresting the accused, he said.
