An 8-month-old girl and her parents were among the four abducted from Merced County, California at 10 a.m. Monday (local time), authorities said.
The Merced County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement Monday that 36-year-old Jasdeep Singh, 27-year-old Jasleen Kaur, their eight-month-old baby Aruhi Dheri and 39-year-old Amandeep Singh were taken, ABC reported. Police described the suspect as armed and dangerous.
No further details about the incident have been released because the investigation is still in its early stages. But authorities say the four were forcibly abducted against their will from a location in the 800 block of South Highway 59, ABC 30 reported.
Authorities have not named a suspect or possible motive, NBC News reported. Officials asked people not to approach the suspect or victim and call 911 if they see them.
